Yet in Turkey, few of us acknowledge this fact, and have an exact notion of how to attain health and happiness. On the other hand, a small minority of architects manage to overcome all difficulties annd produce exemplar bulidings. The Architectural Yearbook 1, published with the plausible efforts of Koleksiyon, aims to bring these works into the public eye and thereby prompt us all to spare more thought on the quality of the built environment we live in.“

Yearbooks, on the other hand, tend to distance themselves from the stream of circumstances, and aim at a more comprehensive, scholarly approach. They are therefore more enduring, long-standing and influential documents; and by this definition, they must be objective, just and realistic in their quest to set down quality. The Architectural Yearbook 1 is a product of meticulous efforts for nationwide research and documentation.
