Mathematical methods of physics is an indispensable of the physicist's education. Traditionally, the contents of a such a course is to serve modern physical science from classical (analytical) mechanics to electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, relativistic theories, astronomy, theory of fields, statistical physics, condensed matter physics and many interdisciplinary topics. It must be an effective introduction into the most necessary and basic methods applied. It should be in no way a collection of applications to physical problems, but 'methods' for solving them.
